Edition 12: Weekly Tips for Connecting with your Contacts
Here we are once again with some great tips to help you keep in contact with your connections!
1. Respect your Contacts.
An important part of building relationships with your connections is respect. Some people tend to forget to foster this crucial characteristic, and become stubborn in a relationship, resulting in an unhealthy relationship. Respect will help relationships grow and ensure a secure network of connections.

2. Attend tradeshows, seminars, conferences, etc.
For a business owner, attending such events will give you a chance to get out from behind your desk, and meet with people face-to-face. Not only will you be meeting new people and making new connections, you will also be able to find people who may be using your online services. Although these events are geared towards business owners, as an individual, they can also be helpful if you plan on starting your own business one day!
3. Listen, listen, listen.
An important factor of any relationship is to listen. Whether in your business or personal life, be sure to listen and remember what your contact talked about, mentioned briefly, or emailed you about. It's a great way to be able to follow up later, and ask about how things went. By following up in a timely manner, you're able to keep the conversation going, and build a long-term relationship.
