Weekly internet roundup 11/2/12
It's been a crazy week at Contactually HQ. We were out of the office
and working from out couches Monday and Tuesday due to the hurricane passed through the east coast. We didn't get hit too hard (our thoughts go out to our friends in New York and New Jersey), so that means we're still in the full swing of things. And with that, here are some great reads from the week:
- Open Forum: After Sandy: 4 Steps to Disaster Recovery -- The aforementioned Hurricane Sandy reminded us that disasters are possible at any time and that it's good to have a plan for recovering your plans. Do you have a plan?
- Office space for rent: 7 Email Etiquette Tips to Remember at the Office -- We at Contactually are big proponents of email etiquette, and this post nails it. There are a ton of others, of course, but these are just a few.
- Forbes: Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends For 2013 -- A few of these are spot on. A few, like all predictions, are less certain than others. Take, for example, "There will be long shift to HTML5 from native apps as HTML5 becomes more capable." There is still a ton of time until the end of 2013, but as things stand now, HTML5 isn't where it needs to be -- just take Facebook's app, for example. What do you think?
