The science of relationships

Back at SugarCon, Michael Wu, principal scientist of analytics of Lithium, gave a presentation about the science of relationships. The talk explores the how people connect and relate with one another. While the whole presentation was full of great facts, the most interesting was the Dunbar limit (the theory that states we can only have approximately 150 connections) applies in modern life. Essentially, the stronger your close ties are, the less you have to devote to weaker ties, and the weaker your close ties are the more time and space you have for weaker ties.

And if you missed the presentation, you're in luck. The slides are available online for your to peruse, and we recommend doing so -- the presentation is quite fascinating.
