Pratham and Randy, ready to take the tech world by storm!

A few years ago, I attended the New York Tech Meetup where Contactually was launching to the public for the first time. Little did I know then that this launch would transform my life.

Back then, Contactually would scrape your inbox to reveal dormant ties; people you were consistently in touch with before, but haven't kept in touch for a while. The theme of Contactually -- reconnecting with important relationships -- was intriguing, so I thought this was a great way to touch base with friends I hadn't contacted recently.

As soon as I signed up, I received an email with the names of people I should consider following up with. One of the names on the list was that of Randy Rayess. Randy and I had taken classes together at Wharton and had also worked on group projects together. During this time we used to exchange a lot of emails about group assignments. As you can see we were talking about the Airbus case and homework (HW#12). But then finals came and went, we lost touch for a while, and we both moved to New York.

So when Contactually recommended I should reconnect with Randy, I thought why not!

We ended up meeting for coffee at Starbucks. I told him about the startup that I was working on to tackle tech talent gaps. We discussed the possibilities and the implications, got super excited and decided to go craft out a solution together that would bridge this gap and help businesses access the best tech talent around the world.

This is how VenturePact was born, an online marketplace with the vision of connecting businesses with quality software firms to address the tech talent crunch.

Thanks to Contactually, I reconnected with Randy and we decided to start VenturePact together.
