First, we added new bulk change controls. Then, we revamped the Contacts page. Today, we're launching the newly redesigned Buckets page, which we think you're going to love. Here's what we've been working on.
Let's start with the basics -- the new Buckets page has the same simple, content-focused visual style we're using on the Contacts page.
There's less clutter, fewer hidden features, and more of a focus on the things you actually use. For instance, if you have Programs linked to a Bucket, you don't have to know to click on a tiny icon and click "Edit Bucket" anymore. Instead, just click the Bucket you're interested in, and use the Programs & Integrations tab to see everything associated with that Bucket in one place.
We've also added a new visualization to help you determine the general relationship status of any given Bucket at a glance. It's simple -- the more yellow and red, the more attention you need to give to the people inside.
Making key elements more obvious isn't exactly rocket science, but as we stashed new features into Contactually over the last few years, things like the Bucket page started missing opportunities to do so. With this redesign, we've been able to re-prioritize the UI, and make common features a lot more intuitive. You don't have to click "Filter Buckets" to reveal the text entry field -- it's just there, all the time, ready to go.
Reminder timers are visible, and adjustable without having to "edit" your Bucket. Re-ordering Buckets works the way you'd expect, and with less information overload on the screen, it's a lot easier to notice the important stuff -- like which Buckets are full of fading relationships, and which aren't.
As an added bonus, a lot of features (like filtering, or scrolling through long lists of Buckets) are just plain faster. And who doesn't love a faster app?
All Contactually users will start seeing this new Buckets page shortly, and when you do, you'll be invited to take a short tour that highlights where many common features live. If you're having a rough week and just can't handle this kind of change right now ("NEW BUCKETS??? I CAN'T EVEN..."), that's okay -- you can click the "Old Buckets" button on the top right of the screen to go back to the old system. When you're ready, you can try out the new system (trust us, it's waaaay better), and bask in the glory of a better way to interact with your Buckets.
